SERGEY BARSEGHYAN - bass
Born in 1968 in Lvov, Ukraine. Studied at Music School
in Lvov. In 1975 entered the Sayat-Nova Music School,
piano department, in Yerevan, Armenia. In the period
of 1986-1993 studied at the Yerevan State
Conservatory, vocal department. Performed with
Chamber, Radio and TV orchestras, Armenian
Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 1996 he was a Prize-winner of a prestigeous
international vocal competition "Concurso
Internacional de Canto Francisco Viñas" in Spain.
In 1998 he was the soloist of the Juilliard Opera
Center, USA. In 1998 and 1999 as a soloist of the
Juilliard he got the Schumann Fund Award and Edward
Nobel Heritage Foundation Award.
In April 2001 he performed at Los Angeles Philharmonic
Hall, Oscar Hall, the Verdi's Reguiem with Maestro
Ohan Durian and Pacific Symphony Orchestra
2002-2005 auditions include those with Maestro Ricardo
Mutti in La Scala, the Metropoliten Opera and Nantes
Anger Opera and Le Chatelet, Paris.
Mr. Barseghyan appeared with concerts in Paris,
Barcelona, Valencia, New York and Los Angeles.
In July 2005 he performed at the Gala Concert of Stars
of Armenian Opera dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of
renown singer Cathy Berberian.
